When I was still a student. I once told my classmates that OLED will replace all LCDs someday in the future.
I might be wrong.
The inherent flaw caused by material will cause OLED panel to “burn-in” much faster when emits blue light. And this might be too much to overcome. Just a like that Bill Gates’s words about battery: There is not much we can do about it. Micro LED might be the final answer. Just like OLED to LCD. Micro LED has superior advantage in every aspect possible except one:
It is expensive to manufacture. Which is not really a problem if you have time to wait for the future.
It has unbelievable brightness. Very energy efficient. And it feels like future: It solves all the problems except it being expensive.
